wallpaper stripping

I would like to remove some ugly old wallpaper and repaint. I’m afraid to paint over the wallpaper, I’d rather strip it that risk having it bubble and mess with the removal process later. I tried DIF on a different wall, and it only worked because of the shear amount of pressure I used and it took forever. Is there any products that can remove the old style wallpaper and adhesives from plaster walls easily? This wallpaper is still well attached with only very minimal peeling along the seems.

quick property sales

I do not mean property auctions
I mean contacts, websites, associates, friends, family, relatives etc. I am interested in helping people stay in their homes or stop the bank from taking their homes. I am able to buy the property and rent it back to them at a price they can afford and then they can buy it back when there finances are better. I believe in honesty and intergrity and genuinely helping people in these difficult times
I am interested in Uk properties.

rent houses quickly

I am living in Utah right now.But I need to go back to TN and I don’t know the area or have friends or family there.Im in the process of looking for a place to rent over the internet. So the problem is how do I safely get a home rental from here in Utah.My husband will be coming home from Iraq in Dec. so I need to find a place for us.I can’t physically go there and check out the place because i have 2 baby boys and its just too expensive.
–Im afraid that if I send money or a check to the home owners over there in TN that it could turn out to be a scam or they don’t even actually own the home. The home owners said I can send a check for the security deposit and Oct rent to hold the place for me.Then there’s the other home with realtors who said I can send the deposit of $400.00 for them to hold it for only 2 weeks, and they said if I don’t like the place they will keep my money.
–I really need to get a place so I can have somewhere to go to when I get to TN.The hardest part right now is that since 90% of the soldiers from our base is coming home in December alot of the houses are being taken very quickly.Should I just tell the home owners I cannot give them any money till I am there in TN and risk having the place rented to someone else???

Need help.I am stressing so much.SOOO much to do!!

buy property

If sea level rises due to global warming, then lots of property all over the country, and the world, will get destroyed. Just like so much property in New Orleans. But until recently I lived in a nice shore town, and if I still had a job there I would have considered eventually buying a house there, fully aware of what could happen in the next few decades.
BeachSaint, I wish I could agree, but not everyone has enough money to live for the moment, especially when it comes to buying a house.

Removing paint from brick?

Posted by: | Comments (6)
Cheap house paint

We have recently bought our first home which is quite old and needs a bit of work to make it liveable (due to the previous occupants being smokers and also they must of been high when they decorated lol)
On the outside wall next to the front door they painted the house number with what looks like normal white paint (emulsion?) This looks terrible and is so big a nice number plaque will not cover it.
My question is, is there any cheap and efficient way of removing this paint without risk of it smearing and looking worse? I don’t fancy having to buy expensive chemicals in large amounts for a one off job.
