Please I am desperate for help with my Mother in law from hell?
ByMy M I L let us move into her investment property 18 months ago which had always been unoccupied. This meant really cheap rent but moving an hour away.
Anyway cut a really long story short she tried to scam money out of us when my fiances father suddenly passed away last year leaving him an inheritance. She has a lot of money and my partner was actually quite shocked and hurt when he realised what she was trying to do.Especially considering he had given her a lump sum of money purely out of generosity considering she had given us a place to stay even if it was ages away from our friends and loved ones.
He confronted her about it and she denied it.
2 weeks later I was at home caring for our toddler (and 38 weeks pregnant)when an eviction notice through a solicitors comes under the door!Anyway we have moved now and i am soooo much happier!but she has started trying to cause all sorts of trouble i really can’t believe he once called this women ‘mother’.First she tells his brother that she is calling the police over furniture we stole.I don’t really care about that because I have the reciepts with my bank card number as proof of purchase so she will look like an idiot.
She has turned our former neighbours against us and being so secluded while my partner was at work I actually used to spend a lot of time there and they couldnt stand her.
Its gotten so bad that when we went back up to the house to collect some mail that they actually called the cops to report suspicious activity ha our car was parked outside and they saw us get out!Obviously the police thought it was all one big mix up and told us that next door had just been concerned!anyway i can’t believe those traitors i am really hurt and although I believe in karma I would love some advice on how to get back at my evil mother in law she is a manipulitive liar eg who else would buy scales for you 22 days after having your first child and then tell everyone how much you really wanted them!
Also any ideas for the neighbours ,i know she has dobbed a couple of her ‘friends’ in before to the authorities to make herself feel like a better person was thinking about sending them an anonymous letter to let them know what sort of a friend she is.
Any help would be much apprieciated i just want to give them a bit of a sting then move on with my life

If you truly understand the laws of karma then you certainly shouldn’t dabble in revenge – however small you may think the ‘sting’ needs to be.
Forget all the little details, forget the former neighbours. Concentrate on you man and your kids. Make sure they grow up knowing they’re completely loved and accepted by a completely loving and accepting mother.

I know revenge is sweet.
But the cards are stacked against you on this one.
The best thing to do is be the better person and move on.
The past is the past, learn from it and keep going.
Don’t sink to her level, be above all that.
If you start this little war back and forth, what will make you different from her?
Part of her game is expecting you to try something back, its the way she is.
Disappoint her and have more class than she will ever have.

It sounds like you have things covered (receipts and other paperwork) so that’s good. Just cut her off completely. Change your phone number, block hers and get on with your lives…sans evil mother-in-law. As for sending letters to your former neighbors, don’t waste your time. They either already know (or they’ll find out) what kind of person she really is. Besides, anyone who can be swayed against you by someone of her ilk isn’t worth your time.

Forget that bitch! You married her son, not her. I would never have anything to do with her again. She sounds like a greedy, ruthless bitch!
