www.conyeyancing-warehouse.com – Are online conyeyancing solicitors any good?

By
Conveyancing

I’m buying a house and i’m thinking of using www.conveyancing-warehouse.com to do the conveyancing work as it will save me about £300 compared to a regular ‘local’ solicitor. As they are part of a firm of solicitors (Roberts) and they are regulated by the law society etc, I cant see any problem, but i may be wrong!? Has anybody used these? Any feedback would be much appreciated!
carswoody you sound like a very well scripted idiot! I hasd to include the name of the company in the title so people would recognise it if they has used them!

First of all – you will have a call handler dealing who will the pass it onto someone who may be a bit more qualified, but who also wont be a specialist.

having sold my house to someone who used a similar company – she was in tears as it took so long for them to deal with her purchase I very nearly pulled the sale as she could never get in touch with the same person.

Like the old saying goes “You get what you pay for” – and after you have completed your sale and if there is a problem ask yourself would you be able to nip down and have a chat face to face – probably not

I used on line conveyancing solicitors when I last bought a house (about 3 years ago). I cant remember the name of them other than they were Sheffield based. The process was very smooth and hassle free and I saved a bundle of money. They did not cut corners and everything was done professionaly and as it should be. It’s even better now with things like 24 hr on-line progress tracking.

I would have no hessitation in using the same method again.

We are in 2007 and most local solicitors are still using the ink well and quill. Time for them to move forward and join the rest of us in the modern world.
