Sorry but the only way I have ever been able to get wallpaper off is by steaming, soaking and using a PaperTiger. It is a small tool that puts rips in the wall paper and can generally be found any any hardware store or someplace like Wal-Mart or KMart. Personally I would rather paint a design on a wall that put up paper. It is soooo much easier just to paint over a design even if you have to put three coats of paint on to cover it up than to strip old wall paper which is extremely labor intensive which I am sure you are aware of. I bought an old house once that had 18 layers of wallpaper on the walls! I was getting pretty fearful as I went through the layers that I was going to start seeing daylight through the walls! Good luck and you have my sympathies :(

Wet with water and washing up liquid, leave to soak, scrape, wet some more, leave to soak, scrape a bit more.
Sorry it’s the only way, get your friends round, stick the radio on and promise a crate of beer and a takeaway, it’ll be off in a few mintues!!! (Really works)

Hire a steamer and make sure you “scratch” all the surfaces first to allow the steam to penetrate ! ! !
