yes you correct about the murphys but there is a new product by orange glo that makes one just for laminate flooring it fills in the scratches and shines and seals it. You mop it on and let it dry works great.

my boyfriend just purchased a house with laminate flooring and he uses mr. clean. it comes in a clear plastic container and its yellow. i think its lemon scent. the people who sold him the house left the floors really dirty, so we used that like three times after each application dried and the floor is now clean and shiny. try that, it might work for ya.

I have heard about a new thing that they came out with by Orange Glow. It’s like the Swiffer but its specifically for hard floors and I’m pretty sure its for the laminate flooring as well. My cousin bought it but I haven’t asked her if it works well yet. I’m not positive though about the laminate floor….hope it helps:)

The BEST product I have found to shine laminate floor as well
as wood floor is Future floor finish. My husband worked at the
studios and the more you put on, the shinier it makes your
floor.
You are washing too much-that will take away your shine and oil will make it gummy and uneven. This product will protect also.
I have it onmy floor now. Also, other companies sell it under different names, but much more expensive.

i have the same type of flooring in my kitchen and the best product i’ve found is Hope’s Floor Revive. it really brings out the shine. i buy mine at Linens ‘n Things and i’m sure Bed, Bath & Beyond sells it also. it’s about $5.99 a bottle.

You should not have to use a wax/cleaner to make laminate floors shine. Most of the time laminate floors are not shiny because there is soap build up. Be sure to rinse with clean water or water and vingar. But most important use a hardfloor mop (looks like a dustmop found at Home depot, walmart etc.) it uses less water and soap leaving less soap residue. You can also fold up a terry towel under the hardfloor mop to buff or dry the floor to a shine after cleaning. here is more info on care of laminate floors:
Cleaning laminate flooring is simple- dirt and dust are easily removed with a vacuum or broom.
For more difficult-to-remove soil, use a cloth moistened very lightly with with plain water. Then wipe the surface with a clean dry cloth. Under no circumstances should the floor be wet mopped.
Heavier stains may be removed with manufacturer recommended laminate flooring cleaner available from most online flooring retailers.
Never use soap solutions, waxes, sealers, polishes, or any abrasive materials.
Protect the laminate flooring in high traffic areas and from excessive tracking of outside dirt and soil with mats at all entrances.
Protective felt pads on chair and furniture legs are recommended to further protect the floor.
Occasionally, things may become “stuck” to your floor, such as gum or candle wax. This situation is best handled by letting the spot harden completely, then scraping it gently off the floor with a plastic scraper. Residue can then be removed using a clean rag damped with a little manufacturer recommended cleaner.

Murphy’s oil soap, makes a floor cleaner for laminate floors, I got it at Wal-mart, and it works excellent, and it is pretty cheap, you can get a bottle for around $3.00
