I rent a house and would like to start a daycare. Can the home owner prevent me from doing this?
ByWe Rent a house in California and I am trying to start a daycare. Unfortunately the home owner does not agree with this situation. I was just wondering if there was any way around his decision. Any advice would help.
Thanks

No. The house is in a residential area, his insurance company will not allow it.

The owner can prevent you from doing this. It is his house.
There are a number of considerations. Where I live it is illegal to have a business in your home. You probably need a license to have a daycare business and that would be difficult unless your house is in a business zone.
The neighbors might not agree either.
