As a landlord, I liked Section 8 since I knew I would always get the rent on time, in full. The tenant took good care of the house since they knew that is would be inspected at the end of the lease term and not renewed it not up to standards. Maybe I was just lucky with my tenants, but the others were a pain in the hind-side. It is none of the neighbor’s business who these people pay their rent. How did the neighbor find out?

I’ve dealt with Section 8 tenants. They are just like any other, there are good ones and there are bad ones.
Pros
You get the rent on-time
Cons
The condition of the property varies depending on their lifestyle.
The neighbors can’t complain there is a Section 8 tenant next to them. That would be discrimination. Remind them of that.
